Tikva cares for the homeless, abandoned, and abused Jewish children of Odessa and neighbouring regions of Ukraine. They provide a warm home, essential social services, and quality education. Their education programme is open to all at-risk Jewish children, they also provide aid to impoverished Jewish families and elderly individuals in Odessa.
As a result of support given by the Scheinberg Relief Fund, thousands of at-risk seniors, living in their own homes, received food support during an 18-week period from April to August 2020. 440 seniors received a daily food package, up to 3,000 seniors received a weekly food parcel and 362 seniors received a weekly food voucher. In addition, 214 meals were provided daily to vulnerable children in Odesa. Funds were also provided to deliver weekly food and medication packages to 1,500 vulnerable elderly over an 8 week period from October 2020 to January 2021.
