One South Africa (OSA) is a community-driven movement. Its mission is to unite South Africans from all walks of life, to fight for the dignity and needs of the excluded and marginalised. In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, OSA launched Project Apollo to source, supply and distribute staple food packages to vulnerable families across Cape Town’s informal settlements.
Funds from the Scheinberg Relief Fund have enabled One South Africa to deliver 3,350 food parcels and 101 food vouchers, supporting over 3,000 families across 6 informal settlements during May 2020 alone. This support equates to over 400,000 separate meals.
