EyeClick, a world leader in interactive technology, developed Obie to improve the quality of life of seniors through stimulating and fun games, a projection system and motion-sensing technology. Feedback from caregivers on the impact of Obie on their seniors has been universally positive – teams report that using Obie has a long-lasting impact on residents’ movement, mood, alertness, and communications. Using Obie changes the atmosphere in units to a livelier and more playful one while enhancing positive interactions between residents and staff, as well as between residents.
The Scheinberg Relief Fund teamed up with EyeClick to make Obie units more financially accessible for 16 residential care homes most in need. The objective is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of as many vulnerable seniors as possible across Ontario.
