Madrid Salud is the health arm of the City Council of Madrid. Its ‘Pharmacy Service’ was assigned the function of managing the distribution of PPE to all its employees and to all the Madrid City Council centres, to ensure the emergency services involved in the pandemic (Fire Brigade, Police Force, Funerary Services and Social Services) had the necessary PPE (masks, gowns, hydro-alcoholic gels, gloves, etc.) to protect municipal employees while carrying out their duties.
The Scheinberg Relief Fund donated 5,632 impermeable gowns to Madrid Salud to protect municipal employees working on the frontline of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
