Through our network, the Scheinberg Relief Fund discovered that care homes were in need of overbed tables to make residents more comfortable while being confined to their rooms. Unable to eat in communal dining halls and take part in communal activities, the table meant that residents could have a stable and comfortable surface to eat from as well as a table to use for activities during the day.
The Scheinberg Relief Fund has donated 1,174 overbed tables to 57 care homes across London and the South-East. Over 1,000 residents now have a stable comfortable table adapted to their needs in their bedroom.
